The Special Education Process: Parental Rights and Advocacy

The special education system was built under the medical model, a model that is designed to keep it's "patients" at bay.  As a result, this daunting process can be hard for parents to navigate and understand.  In this workshop, we will become familiar with special education jargon and acronyms, which can often seem like a whole new language, and learn about the special education process in schools, as well as the parent's role in that process.  [ALL]
