Fall Conferences

This important time gives parents and teachers the opportunity to meet and discuss your child's academic progress and goals. All teachers will be available in our gym on the days scheduled. I encourage all parents or guardians to attend the conferences to become better informed and continue to be an active part of their child's education. We look forward to seeing you.

On Wednesday, during the evening conferences, stop by the Community Health and Social Service Resource Fair. Grab important information about helmet safety, health insurance, free community resources, parenting classes and much more! This event is sponsored by Juvenile Assistance Corporation. Fall Family Nights

Join Us For One or Both Nights!
Mondays from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
November 2, 2009 & November 9, 2009
No Cost to Attend
Dinner Will Be Provided!

Parents:
Come join other parents for an evening of skill building and family strengthening. Sessions will focus on communication as a valuable tool for parenting.

Teens (age 12-18):
Bring your friends and laugh and learn. Teens will attend 1 hour of group talking about values and communication then enjoy great snacks, fun crafts, or show their skills on Rock Band.

Younger Sibs (age 3-11):
Childcare will be provided for children whose parents wish to attend these seminars. We will show family friendly movies, have popcorn, make crafts and play games.

Spirit Week

October 12th through the 15th will be Spirit Week at Gardiner. Monday students can come as their favorite "super hero". Tuesday will be Pajama Day. Wednesday is Wacky Day. Thursday will be Red, Black and White Day. Students must be school appropriate in their attire for the week. The week ends on Thursday with a Spirit Assembly. Friday there will be no school for the middle schools, but there will be a Homecoming Parade that begins @ 5:00 p.m. at Gardiner and ends at the OCHS Pioneer Stadium.

WANTED: Donations for Gardiner's Wood Shop

We need the following hand tools for the wood shop: Cordless Drills, Belt Sanders Vibrator Sanders, Jig Saws Routers, Dremel Tools and Table Vise If you have any of these tools in good working condition and would like to donate them to the shop program, it would be greatly appreciated!

Fall Book Fair

Gardiner's Fall Book Fair will take place in the gymnasium during Fall Conferences. Times will be; October 21st, 1:00 p.m.-4:30 p.m., 5:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. and October 22nd, 7:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m., 1:00 p.m. - 4:30 p.m., 5:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Stop by to check out the books.
